Hiding Heidi Low Contrast Preferential Looking Test

This low contrast face stimulus is designed for assessment of vision for communication.

Developed by Dr Lea Hyvarinen, this set has 6 contrast levels: 1.25%, 2.5%, 5%, 10%, 25%, and
100%. A blank card is included to cover the stimulus before presenting it. The tester slides both cards outward to reveal “Heidi.”

Presenting this stimulus in front of an infant who does not have normal eye movements (while observing the infants expression) can give important information about the child’s visual sphere.

Each card measures 23 x 23 cm (9 x 9in).
