Palm Scan AP2000 A-SCAN & PACHYMETER COMBINATION
Handheld combo instrument offers both pachymetry and A-scan testing in one compact unit.
Imagine providing your patients pachymetry and A-scan testing with a unit that fits into the palm of your hand.
Picture that same unit managing the data and sending it to your electronic medical records or to another doctor. Sound like something that could really help your daily routine? If so, then Micro Medical Devices (MMD) has exactly what you are looking for in its PalmScan AP2000.
Why would a company make a combination pachymeter and A-scan unit so small?
The answer is simple—convenience. For today’s busy doctor on the go, having a pachymeter that has to stay in one location is problematic. A small portable unit that can go anywhere the doctor goes—from lane to lane, room to room, or office to office—would indeed be welcome. Being able to slip it into your pocket is another great advantage. Weighing in at less than 10 ozs., the PalmScan AP2000 is touted by MMD as the world's only battery- operated, fully portable A-scan and pachymeter combination unit on the market.
Easy to Operate!
At the core of the AP2000 is Palm’s Tungsten C personal digital assistant (PDA). Using Palm’s technology means that the AP2000 is easy to operate and full of features.
The general layout of the instrument is logical, and the screen is clear and bright. Navigating around is a snap, and if you already use a PDA, especially a Palm-based PDA like a Palm Pilot, you pretty much know how to use it.
Entering data and utilizing functions is easily done using the touch-screen controls on the front face of the instrument.
