How it works:
The VS-V Pediatric Vision Screener is operated with the new Elliptech Soft Touch Command Control Unit (see below), allowing complete remote control and automatic command of all test operations. By pressing the appropriate buttons on the compact panel, a user can advance or reverse stereo tests, select plus lenses and test distances, or selectively light either of the lamps.
The exam process is rapid yet accurate, allowing for maximum efficiency as the screening process averages under 5 minutes per examinee.
User is supplied with an instruction manual, 100 recording forms, demo version of the Visionary Software, hand control, USB cable and dust cover.

Elliptech Control Unit
The VS-V Elliptech Soft-Touch hand control unit makes for easy operations of the vision screener. The comfortable design makes it suitable for hand-held or desktop operation. The hand control can not be used simultaneously with the Visionary Software.
By pressing the appropriate buttons on this compact panel you can:
- Advance or reverse stereo tests
- Select near, far or intermediate test distances
- Occlude either of the subject's eyes
- Selectively light peripheral vision test lamps
- Perform nigh-vision tests

Occlusion is controlled by pushing separate buttons for each eye. |

Stereo test are listed on the front of the control unit. A lamp next to each test number signals when the target is being presented.

Peripheral vision target lamps are lit by pressing these buttons. A signal lamp indicates which eye is being tested.

The test distance buttons will switch the lens to the corresponding distance. (The +1.50 diopter lens is put in place by pushing the "INT 1" button. The +2.00 Diopter lens is put in place by pushing the "INT 2" button.)

The day/night switch allows the examiner to toggle between simulated bright real-life daytime illumination and dim light nighttime illumination.

Touch these buttons and the stereo target drum either advances or reverses to the next test. Keep button depressed and drum will continue to rotate.

Head Sensor override button allows operation of the machine without an examinee's head properly placed inside the headrest.
